Is Jesus, Michael the Archangel?

Yes. Jesus Is Michael The Archangel. Why? Let us begin.

Dan 12:1  "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."

First let us deal with this phrase "the great prince."

What does "great" mean?

Definitions of great are: 1. bigger than others 2. powerful. These definitions were taken from Microsoft Encarta Dictionary.

The word "The" is a word that is use to refer to somebody or something. Here in Daniel 12:1 we read "The great prince" singular reference.

Who is this "great prince?"

Dan 8:25  "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."

Answer is "the Prince of princes."

Who is the "Prince of princes?"

Dan 9:25  "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times."

Answer is "the Messiah."

What does the word "Messiah" mean?

Act 5:31  "Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins."

Rev 1:5  "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood."

Answers: 1. Jesus Christ 2. King of Jews 3. Saviour.

Jud 1:9  "Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee."

The Lord here is "Michael."

Rev 12:7  "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels."

Michel, the great Prince, He is the Master of His angels, He owns His angels. Notice the phrase "Michael and His angels."

The Bible also said the dragon and his angels fought, but these angels were given to Satan, they had decided to take part with him in his deceptions, so he became their master, but not their creator.

Here we read that Micheal owns His angels; He is the creator of them.

Jesus the Archangel is the creator of all things. Notice the following scriptures below:

Col 1:16  "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him."

Col 1:17  "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."

Joh 1:1 - 5 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
